New Submission Support Group

New Submissions Support Group Meets Fourth Sundays at 1 p.m. on Zoom

For many writers, the dream is to see their words in print. Whether it’s in their favorite literary journal, an anthology in the library, or even professionally narrated on a podcast, publishing can take many forms.

But how do you get published? Is it normal to pay submission fees, or to not hear back for months? Where do you find places to submit, and how do you even do that?

The submission support group’s goal is to help writers of all genres and formats get published, in whatever that means for them. While short stories, poems, nonfiction, and even entire books have different norms and requirements for submissions, they all share commonalities in what editors are seeking…and what editors think.

Whether you’re looking to make your first submission or your one thousandth, this group will have the latest info on submitting trends, new markets to submit to, and an understanding space when the rejections are piling up.

The group is led and moderated by Chase Anderson, whose fiction, poetry, journalism, blogs, and essays have been published in all the different ways you can arrange pixels on a screen or ink on paper. He’s compiled information, resources, and freebies on literary submissions.

The group meets on the fourth Sunday of each month on Zoom, starting at 1 PM PT. Please register so we know you’ll be attending.

Please advise when registration is open for this months support group in November. The link up now is apparently for last month.
