See you tomorrow!
I’m so excited for everything happening tomorrow (Saturday, April 19th) in the California Writers Circle in Joaquin Miller Park. First, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, we’re having “Literary Avengers: Earth Day Write In.” Release your words and imagination at this outdoor generative writing salon in the East Bay Hills!
What have you got to say to those who are harming the Earth?
Bring your writing in progress or start something new. Use our prompts (and your cell signal if you can) to take action, use your voice.
Bring a hat, blanket, food and drink, writing tools. Drop in or stay the whole time. Open mic at 12pm.

After the Earth Day Write In, we’re excited to welcome Jasper Ezekiel in the Member Spotlight and Nazelah Jamison as the Keynote Speaker. In the California Writers Circle, Nazelah Jamison will give a presentation on “Finding Joy In Your Writing: In the Time of Apocalypse.” The world seems to be ending: wanna-be dictators are being elected, the planet is heating up and glaciers are melting, the number of natural disasters is at an all-time high, and our enemies seem to be joining and actively conspiring against us. In a time when internal and global conflict is more prevalent than ever, how does a writer still find actual joy in writing? From changing paths to changing direction, Nazelah Jamison invites you to seek, and find, the joy.
