See you tomorrow!
As we welcome our new Board, we’re so excited for our first Speaker Series event with Carole Stivers tomorrow (Sunday, September 15th) at Block Community Hub (1955 Broadway) in Downtown Oakland. Block Community Hub is just steps away from the 19th Street BART station. There will be snacks and refreshments available as you socialize with fellow writers and poets.
Guests can start arriving at 12:30. At 1:00, we’re going to have time for announcements. By speaking on behalf of Beast Crawl, Paul Corman-Roberts will invite Speaker Series attendees to consider collaborating with future Beast Crawl literary festival events.
At 1:30, Lenore Weiss will step into the Member Spotlight. You can learn more about Lenore Weiss at this blog post.
At 1:45, in a presentation titled “Genre Bending: Writing Outside the Lines,” Carole Stivers will tell attendees what she wished she had known before she embarked on the even-shifting seas of literary genre. Lastly, at 3:00, attendees are welcome to attend The Author Support Group where anyone can share their triumphs, struggles, and goals as an author.
