Being a professional writer is a trade like any other trade, requiring an understanding of the industry as well as the art.
The CWC supports writers at every level of professionalism and provides means for its members to learn together, hone their craft, practice their business skills, network and support one another.
Our Writing Support/Critique Groups meet all over the East Bay at various times and with various goals.
Our Marketing Success Group meets monthly, right before our meetings and speakers. Although we are all on the same path, more or less, each of us has unique needs and goals at any given time. We support one another in sticking to our goals.
The CWC Marketing Blog by member Lloyd Lofthouse lists wonderful resources for our members who are marketing their books and marketing themselves.
Publishing Pathways is a mentoring program for Northern California members.
